Jayme Braida
Jayme Braida is an elementary school principal with 18 years of experience in education, including 8 years in administration. This year, she was named Iowa Elementary Principal of the Year and a National Distinguished Principal. She is passionate about trauma-informed leadership, equity, and creating school cultures where students and staff feel seen, heard, and valued.
Jayme began her career as a 4th grade teacher and has since served as a literacy instructional coach, Leadership Consultant coaching principals and vice principals, and now, a principal committed to leading with authenticity, courage, and connection.
Her own journey from navigating childhood ADHD and family trauma to leading transformative change in schools fuels her commitment to empowering both educators and students. Through coaching, speaking, and writing, Jayme shares her story and insights to inspire a new generation of compassionate, purpose-driven leaders.
