Dr. Donovan Smalls II
Dr. Donovan Smalls II is a dynamic educational leader, bestselling author of Beyond the Classroom, and host of The Aspiring School Leader Podcast. With over a decade of teaching and leadership experience, he is committed to equipping aspiring school leaders to confidently secure their first leadership roles and lead with lasting impact. As a coach and mentor, Dr. Smalls II empowers educators to drive instructional excellence, close leadership gaps, and build thriving school communities. He also serves as Executive Board Member and Chairperson of Administration for the New Jersey affiliate of NABSE. Dr. Smalls II holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership & Management from Drexel University, an M.S. in Sport Management from Virginia State University, a B.S. in Health & Exercise Science Teaching from The College of New Jersey, and a Business Management Essentials certificate from Cornell University.
