Tony Cattani
Tony Cattani has spent 27 years in education, including 22 years in administration and 19 years as principal of Lenape High School in Medford, NJ. In 2025, he was named the National Principal of the Year by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
Widely recognized for his innovative peer observation model which has generated more than 4,000 classroom visits and strengthened collective efficacy. Tony has created a school culture where continuous improvement is shared, celebrated, and lived daily. Through collegiality cafés, popcorn lesson invitations, and structured collaboration systems, he has built a community where every educator grows together.
Tony is also the host of the Proud Principals Podcast, spotlighting leaders from across the nation and amplifying best practices in school leadership.
