Dr. Danny Steele
Dr. Danny Steele is a veteran educator with 31 years of experience as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, and assistant professor of Instructional Leadership. He was named Alabama’s Assistant Principal of the Year in 2005 and Secondary Principal of the Year in 2016. A respected voice in school leadership, Steele has authored six books—including two co-written with Todd Whitaker—and has presented at state and national conferences across the country. He holds degrees from Covenant College, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Samford University. Dr. Steele is the father of three grown children and lives in Birmingham, Alabama, with his wife.
